AM Federal Credit Union History
AM Federal Credit Union (AMFCU) was established in 1936, by Arden Dairy employees with a simple idea in mind: each member of the credit union would be a part owner, sharing in the profits, and everyone would be treated with respect.
Fast–forward nearly seventy years and that simple idea is still alive and well at AMFCU. AMFCU is a truly unique place to do your banking, combining old–fashioned values like trust, honesty and integrity, with modern conveniences like online services, ATM/Debit cards and worldwide account access.
Today, the credit union has more than $26 million in assets and over 8,000 members – a far cry from our modest beginnings in 1936, but still, a true testament of the trust our members have placed in the credit union since day one.
While it's true that many things have changed in the past 70 years, one thing has remained consistent: our commitment to serve you, the owner/members of AMFCU. We provide the financial services and information needed to help you and your family reach your American Dream.
