Mission Statement

Our job at AMFCU: to provide our members with the means to live rich, satisfying lives, by teaching them the basics of good financial habits, by encouraging them to stick to their goals and by guiding them through the challenges of life changing events. In this way, we are contributing to the betterment of America, by encouraging high moral and ethical principles.

History

AM Federal Credit Union (AMFCU) started in 1936 by the Arden Dairy Employees who wanted to experience the power of "People Helping People,"...the credit union credo.

AMFCU quickly grew as people took advantage of the consumer friendly products and services, merging with Mayfair Markets Credit Union in 1965 to become Arden–Mayfair Federal Credit Union. Many diverse employer groups, seeing the economic benefits for their employees, joined up with the credit union for the next 20 years, including Gelson's Markets, Engineered Magnetics, Bradshaw, Inc., The Berton Company and US Foodservice (S.E. Rykoff) and many more.

Because of the diverse nature of our Employer Groups, the credit union name was changed to AM Federal Credit Union (AMFCU) in 1984. Since that time, many Employer Groups have made AMFCU a part of their benefits package, helping their employees become more successful in their financial lives. Smart employers know that the more employees are in control of their finances, the happier and healthier (and more productive) their employees are!
